Solo campers are placed with other attendees and past campers consistently say meeting new people was one of their favorite parts. -

Nope! Bring whatever you're currently reading, your entire TBR stack, or a new purchase you've been saving. Camp Foreword is about your reading life, not a assigned syllabus.
There will be a book swap table too, so bring books you don’t want anymore and who knows what treasures you’ll find!

We'll share a general calendar closer to the event, but expect a loose structure with lots of free time built in. Meals are the main anchor points of the day.

Camp Soles is located in the Laurel Highlands, about an hour from Pittsburgh. Driving is the easiest option. We'll share detailed directions and parking info closer to the event.

Yes! You'll have the opportunity to share dietary needs during registration and our chefs at Camp Soles will do their best to accommodate.

You'll want to pack your own pillow, blanket/bedding or sleeping bag, and bath towel.
A few other must-haves: charging cords (rooms have limited outlets — a power strip is a great idea), a refillable water bottle, and a jacket for cooler November evenings.Optional but encouraged: shower shoes, a reading light, a camp chair, earplugs or an eye mask, crafts or board games, extra snacks, and a book or two to swap with fellow campers.
Oh, and obviously — books. Plural. You won't regret it.
